Kids Airline: An AI-Powered Pediatric Dental Experience Platform

Healthcare · AI · Pediatric dental clinic

Kids Airline turns a child’s dental visit into an airline-themed journey and uses AI to understand how each child is feeling at every step. Built by Eurisko for a pediatric dental clinic, the platform combines AI video analysis with wearable biometric sensors to measure stress and behaviour in real time, from Check-In and Boarding through the Flight to the Exit, and gives dentists and assistants clear, data-backed insights so they can adapt their approach to each child.

Challenge

The challenge

A dental visit is one of the most stressful experiences in a child’s early life, and the signs of that stress are easy to miss in a busy clinic. Dentists and assistants read a child’s mood from experience alone, in the moment, with no record of what worked last time and no way to see distress building before it becomes a refusal.

The clinic wanted behaviour management grounded in data: a way to measure how each child actually feels through every stage of the visit, to alert the team when a child needs a different approach, and to carry that knowledge from one appointment to the next.

Solution

What we built

Eurisko designed and built Kids Airline as a complete clinical platform: an airline-themed patient journey, an AI pipeline that fuses video and biometric signals into one stress score, and a session dashboard that turns the score into recommended actions for the team in the room.

Airline-themed journey

Every visit is structured as a flight, Check-In, Boarding, Flight and Exit, so the experience feels familiar and far less intimidating for a child.

AI video behaviour analysis

Cameras across the clinic feed a vision-language model that detects behaviours such as relaxing, laughing, crying or resisting at each stage.

Wearable biometrics & composite stress score

Child-friendly wearables capture heart rate, skin response, respiration and temperature; video and biometric signals combine into one weighted score anchored to the Frankl and Venham clinical scales.

Corroborated alerts & recommended actions

Alerts fire only when video and biometrics agree, which cuts false alarms, and every detected behaviour links to a suggested intervention staff can act on in the moment.

Behavioural personas & session history

Children are profiled into personas such as Toddler, Preschooler or Bad Experience; each session is recorded and analysed so the team tracks progress across appointments.

Pre-visit parent surveys

Parents share their child’s background, past dental experiences and needs before the appointment, so the team is prepared before the flight begins.

Results

The results

Kids Airline brings data to child behaviour management: the clinic sees distress as it builds, responds with interventions matched to the child, and keeps a record that makes every next visit calmer than the last. Dental care becomes calmer, kinder and more personalised, for children and for the team treating them.
