Enmaeya: One Bilingual Platform for Articles, Podcasts, Video and Events
Enmaeya is a development-focused news and knowledge portal covering economic, social and policy stories in Lebanon and the wider world. Eurisko built its publishing platform: article and multimedia management with an editorial approval process, event listings and a homepage editors control, in Arabic and English with right-to-left and left-to-right layouts.
The challenge
Enmaeya publishes more than articles: opinion, video, podcasts and a calendar of events all sit on one portal, each with its own contributors and its own review needs. Running that on a general-purpose CMS meant workarounds for approvals, manual homepage updates and a second-class experience in one of the two languages.
The portal needed a platform where every content type had a proper home and a proper review flow, where editors could shape the homepage without a developer, and where Arabic and English readers got an equally polished experience.
What we built
Eurisko designed and built a publishing platform tailored to the portal’s mix of formats: structured management for articles, video and podcasts, an approval process that gates publication, event management with listings, and homepage controls, all bilingual and direction-aware from the ground up.
Article management
Authoring, editing and categorisation for news, opinion and analysis, with the metadata search engines and readers expect.
Editorial approval process
A review and approval flow for article publishing, so contributors can draft freely and editors decide what goes live and when.
Video & podcast management
Multimedia stories managed alongside the written ones, with players and listings designed for each format.
Event management & listing
Events created, scheduled and listed on the portal, giving the development community one calendar to follow.
Homepage & multi-language control
Editors manage the homepage layout themselves, and every page renders correctly in Arabic and English, right to left and left to right.
