BLF: Digital Banking, Rebuilt for Mobile-First Customers

Banque Libano-Française is one of Lebanon’s largest and longest-established banks. When BLF set out to rebuild its retail digital channels around a mobile-first experience, it engaged Eurisko to design and engineer the platform end to end, from customer journeys to core-banking integration.

Challenge

The challenge

BLF’s customers expected the fluency of a consumer app with the guarantees of a regulated bank. The existing channels had grown around the core banking system rather than around the customer: account opening required a branch visit, everyday journeys took too many steps, and every new feature was slowed by tightly coupled legacy integrations.

The bank needed a platform that could pass central-bank scrutiny and security audits on day one, integrate with a production core without disrupting operations, and still ship improvements at app-store speed after launch.

Solution

What we built

Eurisko designed and delivered a full digital banking platform: native mobile apps for retail customers, a digital onboarding journey with document capture and liveness checks, and a hardened middleware layer that isolates the customer experience from the core banking system.

Mobile banking apps

Native iOS and Android apps covering accounts, cards, transfers and payments, secured with biometric authentication.

Digital onboarding & KYC

Account opening in minutes: identity document capture, liveness detection and compliance screening built into the journey.

Core-banking middleware

An anti-corruption layer between channels and the core, so the app evolves at product speed while the ledger stays authoritative.

Security & audit readiness

Threat modelling, encryption in transit and at rest, and the evidence package required for regulatory and penetration-test sign-off.

Results

Results

The platform runs in production as BLF’s retail digital channel. Onboarding moved from the branch to the phone, everyday banking journeys were redesigned around minutes-not-forms, and the bank gained a release cadence its legacy stack could never support.
